What is the theme?

The main theme this year, is that of the 4th industrial revolution. Marc Benioff and an assortment of influential guests all take to the stage to discuss the new connected way of being. The idea in the new revolution is to ensure everything works in a 360 way, meaning intelligent technology works with consumers and business to make a connected and insightful way of working together.

What is the 1:1:1 model?

The speech also covers the 1:1:1 model way of thinking, asking businesses to give back and play into this connected way of thinking. What did they talk about?

360 customer view cycle
One of the main areas continuously spoken of, was that of the 360 customer view, possible thanks to the Mulesoft integration. This is an amazing feature allowing customers to have a personal service every time based on their preferences and previous experiences or purchases. This allows companies to know everything they need about their customers to ensure they are offering the best experiences and provide happy and loyal customers.

The video showcases some inspiring use cases from around the world with an array of customers in many different industry sectors such as product personal stories from Unilever representatives, as well as hospitality use cases from Marriott, and even fashion from Brunello Cucinelli.

If you don’t have enough time to watch the whole video however, skip to around 53 minutes as this is a must watch section around the new Einstein Voice feature! There is obvious use case for this feature right away and the idea plays right into the ideals of the 4th industrial revolution as it allows users to be connected from wherever they are with any companies they need to. It is also compatible with Amazon Alexa (see 1 hour 36 minutes for demo) allowing a whole new business possibility for customers with busy schedules, providing them with their own personal assistant when they need it most.

The idea behind this keynote is “everything is connected with customers at the centre”. The combination of Salesforce products allows for this and the use cases seen are very helpful to get a better understanding of the capabilities the platform can provided.
