To dive a little deeper in to what the NPSP has to offer, you can store all of your customers, build out a nice visual image of their relationships with other customers, see where each donation is coming in from, whether it is a one off or a subscription, you can then add different levels to your customers depending on how much they donate or however you wish to rank them, if at all. You can keep track of who receives your marketing content be it emails, letters, phone calls, this is all tracked on your salesforce platform and it is all visible in just a few clicks.

This functionality can also be integrated with payment systems like Asperato and so when a payment is made, it will create all appropriate records straight in Salesforce automatically.
